The YARDS: NX Kemps Creek

Located in Kemps Creek, Western Sydney, the NX Kemps Creek warehouse is a 17,000m² logistics facility built for Nippon Express Australia. Delivered by CIP on behalf of Frasers Property Industrial and designed by BVN Architects, the project reflects a forward-thinking approach to industrial development, combining performance, sustainability, and clean, modern aesthetics. ADS Glass & Aluminium worked closely with the project team to fabricate and install a high-performance glazing solution using Capral Aluminium’s CW116 Curtain Wall system.

The facility forms part of The YARDS – Australia’s first industrial precinct to receive a 6 Star Green Star Communities rating. Purpose-built to accommodate high-tech products and consumer goods, the warehouse prioritises storage efficiency, environmental performance, and operational flexibility. With its striking façade and high ceilings reaching 14.6 metres, the building offers a large storage capacity supported by the latest in logistics technology.

To meet the project’s architectural vision and performance requirements, Capral’s CW116 Curtain Wall system was selected for the building’s structural glazing. Designed as an economical, four-sided, structurally glazed solution, CW116 delivers the clean, contemporary aesthetic envisioned by BVN Architects. Tested to AS4284, it is ideally suited for small to mid-sized projects. A standout feature of the system is its ability to accommodate integrated sun-shading directly within the frame, without compromising structural integrity or water performance. This made CW116 an ideal choice for The YARDS, supporting its 6 Star Green Star Communities rating through enhanced environmental performance.

With decades of experience in commercial aluminium fabrication, the ADS team brought a high level of technical skill and attention to detail to every stage of the process, from planning and coordination through to on-site installation. Their deep understanding of the CW116 Curtain Wall system ensured it was fabricated and assembled to exact specifications, meeting performance and compliance standards. This level of precision was essential in delivering a high-performing façade that complemented the functionality and architectural integrity of the NX Kemps Creek facility.
